Booking & Cancellation Policy

To ensure seamless and premium culinary services to you, please review our official terms and conditions. By requesting a reservation, you agree to the following policies.

 

1. Booking Procedures

We require a minimum of 3 days’ notice for all experiences, though we strongly recommend booking 20 days in advance due to high seasonal demand.

How to Reserve:

  • Online: Use our secure booking system on the specific experience page.
  • Direct Inquiry: You may book via our Contact Form, Website Chat, Email (info@cretechefs.com), or Phone (WhatsApp).
  • Required Details: To process your request, please provide:

Full name and Email address

Address of client (for tax purposes)

Location of the event

Telephone number

Chosen experience/menu Date and preferred start time

Number of participants

 

2. Payment Terms

A reservation is only considered “Confirmed” once the required payment is received.

  • Online Bookings: A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance is due before the event or on the spot.
  • Payment Methods: We accept Visa, Mastercard, or Bank Transfer.

 

3. Pricing & Logistics

  • Inclusions: Our rates include menu planning, ingredient sourcing (local/seasonal/organic), shopping, table setup, on-site preparation, service with dish descriptions, and full kitchen cleanup.
  • Taxes & Fees: Stated prices do not include VAT unless otherwise specified.
  • Travel Fees: For locations further than 25km from Rethymno, a travel fee applies.
  • Changes to Booking: Any changes to the date, location, menu, or guest count will result in a price adjustment.
  • Discounts: Discounts apply if the client wishes to use our services for many days or wishes to have multiple services.

Children’s Discounts: *

Under 3 years: 100% Free (excludes individual plated menus).

Ages 3 to 7: 50% Discount (excludes individual plated menus).

 

4. Guest Responsibilities & Villa Access

  • Access: Our team requires access to the villa kitchen at least 2 hours before the scheduled service time. Please ensure there is adequate shelf space available in the refrigerator.
  • Dietary Requirements: You must inform us of all allergies and intolerances at the time of booking. Crete Chefs cannot be held responsible for reactions if we were not notified in writing.
  • Photography: We may ask for verbal permission to take photos of the service for promotional use.

 

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

Deposits: If you have paid a 20% deposit, it is fully refundable if cancelled 8 days or more before the event. If cancelled within 0–7 days, the deposit is non-refundable.

Guest Count Reductions: Reducing the number of guests is treated as a partial cancellation and follows the timeline above. If the reduction brings the group size below the menu’s “Minimum Participants,” you will be charged the minimum rate for that menu.

Bank Charges: All refunds are issued minus any applicable bank or transaction processing fees.

 

6. Cancellations by Crete Chefs

Force Majeure: In the event of severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, mechanical failure, or government restrictions, we will notify you immediately. You may choose to reschedule or receive a 100% refund.

Safety: Crete Chefs reserves the right to modify an experience duration or menu if safety or weather conditions dictate.
